Geschichte
The story
The brief
Rotunde runs four shows a year in a round hall where nothing lines up with anything. The catalogues had always been designed by whoever was free, and it showed.
The system
We fixed the margins, the caption column and one running head, then let paper, ink and cover colour change per show. Titles are set in Switzer with a single Fraktur initial that carries the artist’s surname.
The result
The season sold out at the desk. The gallery now sends the grid file to guest designers as their starting document.
Each show looks different and every show looks like us.
